What is DevOps?

The word DevOps comes from a combination of the terms “software development” and “operations”. DevOps is a methodology that uses set practices and tools to promote better communication between software development and operation teams. DevOps Engineers work to prompt collaboration between these two teams in order to release products faster in an automated and repeatable way. DevOps speeds up product release by introducing continuous delivery, encouraging faster feedback, and allowing developers to fix bugs in the system in the early stages.
